Ghana sarappa dittens
dipena tamadhamsina
tiloka dipam sambuddham
pujayami tamonudam.

With these lights brightly burning,
Dispelling all darkness,
I worship the fully enlightened Buddha,
The light of the triple world.

Imaya dipapujaya
maggo hotu hato tamo
cittan `ca me sada hotu
parisuddham pabhassaram

By offering these lights
May the path be free from darkness,
And may my heart and mind
Be always pure and bright.

Vanna gandha gunopetam
etam kusuma santatim
pujayami munindassa
siridapa saroruhe.

I offer these flowers,
Fresh, fragrant and beautiful,
At the Buddha's lotus-like feet.

Imaya pupphapujaya
saccam patilabham `aham
patividdham aniccattam
tanha bhandhana chedanam.

By offering these flowers,
May I realise the truth of impermanence
Which destroys all craving
And cuts all bonds.

Gandha sambhara yuttena
dhupena `ham sugandhina
pujaye pujaneyyam tam
puja bhajana mutytamam.

With this fragrant incense
Prepared from sweet things,
I worship the Exalted One,
Who is worthy of respect and honour.

Sugandhikaya pujaya
kata `yetam tathagate
silangandho `va sabbesam
sada sabbattha vayatu.

By offering this fragrance
Prepared for the Tathagata,
May the perfume of virtue
Spread always and everywhere.

Pujemi suddham sambuddham
bhojanam parikappitam
nicchata suhita hontu
bhojana sabbapanino

By offering this food,
Clean and well-prepared,
To the fully enlightened Buddha,
May all beings be nourished
And their hunger allayed.

Parisuddham sitalam yam tam
paniyam pujitam maya
pavahetu mala sabbe
cittesu sabba paninam.

By offering this water,
Fresh, clean and cool,
May the minds of all beings
Be washed of impurities.

Pujemi panam bhesajjam
rogapaharanam imam
santa ajjhattika roga
sukhino hontu panino.

By offering this medicine
That removes all sickness,
May all beings be cured
And abide in perfect health
